Elizabeth // Spring Bliss

I got a call from my dad in the afternoon. He told me all about a spot he had driven by filled with cherry blossoms, and that I HAD to come with my camera at some point this week.

It really is one of my favorite things to do; to grab my camera and just GO! Make it happen in under two hours. Its a thrill to come home after a spontaneous shoot, and know you really did just create something. A moment, an image never taken before and never to be taken again. I stopped time and get to share moments with my friends and family. The feeling of handing over photos, pressing send to a gallery invite, not even explainable. Its why I do what I do.

As a natural light photographer, spring is simply bliss! Soft colors, gorgeous green, flowers, soft lighting! The hardest part is that I am a portrait photographer... I do enjoy simply taking photos, but my passion is people, the face, the eyes, a laugh, the pose, a style.

It was a dreamy evening with my sister, and I  am so happy to be sharing these. Every shoot I am learning more and more. I use to be very nervous about shooting at sunset, and even avoided. This past week I shot three different shoots during "golden hour." It can be very stressful, but worth it in every way! Below were photos I took in a 10 minute window. The sun goes down really quickly, and that's what makes it special when you capture it.

I love LOVE my sister, and this shoot wouldn't have been nearly as wonderful or fun if she hadn't been my subject. The flower crown makes me swoon with that bright green in the background. She has the best sense of camera, and she just makes my job too easy. Laughing, smiling, looking away, changing positions; its like she has someone in family who constantly takes photos of her?

Book your senior, family, and engagement session while the cherry blossoms are out, the grass is new, and sun is blissfully warm! I cannot wait to meet you, and capture you and your loved ones. I'm ready for adventure, join me!
