I have recently fallen in love with Disney's new fairy tale, Frozen.
This adorable film has captured my heart using skillful script, brilliant songs, amazing animation, beautiful voices, and above all, symbolism through a thought-provoking plot.
The symbolism found behind many scenes and concepts through the movie leaves me debating and talking with all my friends. Seems like a clever movie if it leaves one pondering constantly. I mean it is just a "kids'" movie...
One of the major symbols being an "act of true love." Guess it? Nope. Not "True love's kiss." That is the cleverness and beauty of the movie. An act of true love has so often meant and ONLY meant a boy and girl... But if one actually thinks of what "true love" is, he may find that Frozen has captured it. Disney has recognized the power of the bond between two sisters. This plot twist is what children need to see. It does not take a man or a woman to complete you. You do not NEED a significant other. True love is Mother and Daughter seen in Disney's Brave, Father and Daughter seen in Disney's The Princess and the Frog, and now sister and sister seen in Frozen.
If you have not seen Frozen yet, I highly recommend you do. There is so many other symbolic messages in this movie that I could go on and on about, but I find this the factor that keeps me watching it over and over.
love your new blog!! Can't wait to be neighbors:) Happy New Year!!
