April // 2015 // Quite An Experience

I thought I would do a fun little update. This blog is also a personal growth and activity diary for myself to look back on. This year has been one of the craziest and I anticipate 2015 to end as a runner up. April has been so hard, so amazing, and so different. Balancing a passion project, designing a photography website, starting a separate blog, taking final exams, and working/getting ready for my summer job has been such an experience. This image is my April 2015. I have needed constant planning in advance for keep tracking of Dancing Through Memphis sessions, ACT prep, meetings, and just SLEEP. My laptop, Ell, is found very often hyper ventilating. Poor thing, I use her more hours of the day than I sleep. Papers, editing, research, emailing, designing, and classes. ACT is looming over me - I am taking it next week! So thankful for my mom, Ms Parker, and Ms Quick for getting me "ready"! I've learned the meaning behind priorities, and I am constantly discovering and strengthening my ability to stick to them. The Lord has done incredible things in me and for me this month. I am so thankful for my friends who have come behind me and supported me. Its been hard and I've made a lot of mistakes. These memories will go with me forever, and my journal is filled with them. All the glory to the one who has given me countless opportunities  and given me the strength to overcome the obstacles in my way. I have clung to Philippians 2 this month and want to share it to end my little post. I am far from achieving this challenge, but I am striving to stay humble and a servant to the Lord giving him all the glory,

"Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature[a] God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature[b] of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."

So excited about what the Lord has in store these next few weeks, and I so look forward to sharing through images, words, and video. Stay strong, my friends, for we are in the world but not of it.
